Welcome to Main Street!
Here are some questions that visitors often ask...
What time are your Sunday morning services?
We have 2 services on Sunday morning, with Sunday school in between at 9:45 a.m.
8:30 a.m. Traditional Service in the Historic Sanctuary
10:50 a.m. Contemporary Service in the Worship Center
What are your services like?
At Main Street there are no strangers. We are all created by God and members of one family. So, when anyone enters our services -- whether visitors or members -- a temporary nametag is printed and worn. This way we can all greet and encourage each other by name and openly worship together.
Our only expectation of our visitors for you to feel free to worship as the Spirit leads in an inviting and open environment of musical praise and biblically-based teaching.
What do I wear to Main Street?
Main Street is committed to cultivating a comfortable environment where the focus is on God and the direction of the Holy Spirit and individual expression is encouraged. What that means is that you will encounter a wide range of dress preference from "Sunday Best," to business professional, to casual. Wear what you are comfortable wearing and let's focus on meeting God.
What does Main Street offer my family?
There are many opportunities for each member of your family to serve, be taught, or just enjoy the fellowship of other Christians. Main Street is an ever growing family and we would love to have a chance to minister to your family.
What kind of music can I expect?
Each service has a different style of music:
The Traditional service at 8:30 am is what's known as a "Classic" style with more traditional hymn led by the choir and instrumentation including the organ.
At the Contemporary Service at 10:50 am the music cuts loose in a strong contemporary style with a cutting edge band accompanied by a praise team of singers.
Where are you located?
We are one church, worshiping at multiple locations in downtown Georgetown:
Our Historic Sanctuary is located at 1001 Main Street, at the corner of 10th and Main.
Our Ministry Center and new Worship Center building is located across from the Historic campus, facing Austin Avenue.
I'm new here, how can I find out more about Main Street?
Once a month we have a casual dessert fellowship at the home of one of our members. The pastors and staff will be there to meet and tell you more about the church and to answer any questions you may have about Main Street. The Newcomer Dessert Fellowship is the 1st Sunday of every month from 3-4:30 p.m. at a home in the Berry Creek Reserves. If you would like to attend, please sign up below or contact our Minister of Care and Connection, Brian Mullaney
