Below, you will find all of the videos needed for each day's Vacation Bible School.
In your bag for each day, you will find a sheet with questions and discussion of the Bible lesson that can be used to reinforce the lesson.
Our Motto

Our Theme Verse

Day 1

Share stories.
-
The Bible tells us how people knew that Jesus would be born and events surrounding the time of His birth. Tell things you remember about the time each person joined your family.
Go exploring.
-
Search online for photos and stories about the Qumran Caves and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Complete a craft (optional)
-
If you picked up a VBS kit, now is a great time to get out those supplies and create today's craft.
Day 2

Jesus Demonstrated God’s Power
Bible Story: Jesus Healed a Blind Man
Psalm 146:8; Isaiah 35:5-6a; John 9:1-41

Thankful “I Spy”
-
It must have been amazing to the man when he could suddenly look around and see things! Ask everyone to find a place to sit. Without moving around, challenge your family to look around and name things they are thankful they can see. Choose someone to write down your family’s list so you can thank God for those things.
-
Tip: Save your thankful list with your Thanksgiving decorations and read the list again at Thanksgiving.
Go exploring.
-
As a family, look up facts about the Pool of Siloam steps. Read about how they were found and why the archaeologists could only excavate so far.
Complete a craft (optional)
-
If you picked up a VBS kit, now is a great time to get out those supplies and create today's craft.
Day 3

Bible Story: Jesus Experienced Betrayal and Rejection, Psalm 41:9; Isaiah 53:3,7;
John 13; 18:1–19:16
Jesus Was Betrayed and Rejected

Play a Game.
-
Jesus knew what it felt like to be betrayed and rejected, but Jesus died for our sins so that those who trust Him can be included in the family of God. Going to church together is a great way to spend time with a family of believers. Play a game like “Going on a Trip,” but instead said, “I’m going to church and I’m going to take __________.”
-
The first person can fill the blank with a word of her choice.
-
The second person should say the sentence, repeat the word the first person used, and add a second word.
-
Continue playing until the list is so long the next player can’t remember the list.
Go exploring.
-
Look together at a map of Jerusalem during the time of Christ. Some Bibles have maps in the back. See if the map gives the location of Caiaphas’ house. What other sites do you find on the map that were part of today’s Bible study?
Complete a craft (optional)
-
If you picked up a VBS kit, now is a great time to get out those supplies and create today's craft.
Day 4

Play a Game.
-
Play a game of “It’s Not There Anymore.”
-
Locate six or seven small items from around the house. Place them on a table.
-
Challenge everyone to notice what the items are. Cover the items with a towel.
-
Choose one person to reach under the towel and remove one item without letting the others see.
-
On the count of three, lift the towel. The first person to call out the missing item is the winner and gets to select an item for the next round.
-
Replace the item that was taken and play again.
Go exploring.
-
People have different opinions about where Jesus’ tomb was. No matter where it was, He’s not there! He is risen! Many people visit a tomb called “The Garden Tomb.”
-
As a family, find a video of a tour of the Garden Tomb or look at photos of it. Ask family members if they think it would be fun to visit someday or what they would most like to see if they traveled to Israel.
Complete a craft. (optional)
-
If you picked up a VBS kit, now is a great time to get out those supplies and create today's craft.
Day 5

Map It Out.
-
The man from Ethiopia was on a long trip and Philip traveled to meet the man. Where has your family traveled?
-
Draw an outline of your state or country (or the world) and mark the places your family has traveled. It might be fun to put a star on two or three places you would like to travel.
Go exploring.
-
The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls has fascinated archaeologists since the first scrolls were found in the 1940s. Just this year (March of 2021) additional pieces of scroll fragments have been found that contain biblical text.
-
Look up facts about The Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumran caves and discover other fascinating details.
Complete a craft. (optional)
-
If you picked up a VBS kit, now is a great time to get out those supplies and create today's craft.
Leading your child to Christ
Some of your children may be asking questions about how they can have a personal relationship with Christ. To help you as parents I am attaching a parent guide that comes from Lifeway. It includes links to resources that will hopefully be helpful in putting God's plan of salvation in words that kids can understand. Hopefully this will be helpful.
