Are you looking for a place where your child can grow in Christ as well as in their academics? Where faith is as important as figures? Then you’ve come to the right place. Main Street Children’s Center has been recognized as one of the top faith-based preschools in Georgetown.
We are a full-time Christian child development center located in the Main Street Baptist Church Historical Building. It’s our purpose to minister to families in our community by providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn about God’s love through teaching and example.
We desire to see your child grow as Jesus grew as “Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52) 

We want more for your child. That’s why we have selected the foremost Christian curriculum we could get our hands on. WEE Learn is a Biblically-based curriculum broken into units of study, starting with a Bible story followed by a discussion about how it relates to the topic. This unit will be the basis for all activities in the coming weeks.
We include the following activities into our weekly schedule as well:
Handwriting without Tears
This new curriculum allows children to learn handwriting through play, eliminating frustration and embarrassment.
Music
We have a blast learning music on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
Chapel
This time includes chapel with Bible stories, interactive media, fun songs, and worshipping God with our voices. Chapel takes place every Monday.
Outdoor Classroom Activities
Years of research have shown that outdoor learning and play are vital to children’s education and development. That is one of the many reasons we have decided to incorporate an outdoor classroom setting into our weekday program. Research shows” that children’s social, psychological, academic and physical health is positively impacted when they have daily contact with nature.” Increased physical activity, enhanced cognitive abilities, improved nutrition, eyesight, and self-discipline are just a few positive effects. Our outdoor classroom is still a work in progress. We are excited about the many opportunities the outdoor classroom will bring to our school and the children in our care.

We take your child's care seriously.
Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing place for your child to grow and learn. That's why we thoroughly screen each staff member and volunteer who interacts with Main Street Children's Center kids. Each person must complete a criminal background check and must be fingerprinted.
 
Staff members are required to exceed state training and other child care standards, and some have undergraduate degrees while others have professional child development credentials. 

Main Street Children's Center is an affordable alternative to many other similar programs. Because we focus on smaller class sizes, we can give children the individual attention they need to develop in all areas of learning.

We are licensed for 53 children on our campus, from 18 months to 5 years.

Children 18 months to non potty trained: $1,050/ month
Potty Trained: $1,000/ month
Registration fee: $125
Supply fee: $75 annually
